Temazcal / Sweat Lodge

Community Healing in the Womb of our Mother Earth:

The Temazcal/ Sweat Lodge is an Ancestral Shamanic ritual for Spiritual, Emotional, Mental and Physical Purification with the use of hydrotherapy, Heated Volcanic Stones, Plant infusions and Sound Mantras. This Ritual helps with stress related imbalances, aches, injuries, skin related issues, healing respiratory illnesses, infertility, emotional wounds, helps with mental strength and detoxification of the physical body amongst many other benefits.

our Nativo Temazcal Ritual is the Maternal type, which means that the ritual is aimed for all the family including children, the heat is regulated and is always safe, the very hot Temazcals are the type of the "warriorship" and were done before battles or hard hunts, we also conduct this type of Gathering but on special occasions when we train Mind Strengthening Techniques.

Our Temazcal Ritual is in alignment with the Mexican traditions and Mayan Cosmology honoring Abuela Adamelia from the Mexican Ancestry who has given this medicine to us.

The Ritual takes 3-4 hours and is held on the 3rd Saturday of each Month in our Community Home Ocelothkalli which translates "House of Jaguars"
